Bill grew up in the family business. He started working at the funeral home in his teens. He is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA. After college, he attended the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where he graduated with honors in 1983. He went on to work with his father and took over as the supervisor of Griffith Mortuary, Inc. from 1987 until 2002. In May of 2013, Bill began operating Griffith Funeral Home, Inc., a newly established business. As the supervisor, he takes part in the day-to-day operations of the firm. Dealing with the death of a loved one is stressful enough but not knowing what to do with Social Security, insurance policies, wills or trusts, ongoing bills and living expenses, and transfers of accounts and funds from financial institutions to beneficiaries poses an additional burden on a family. After working for the family business as a licensed Funeral Director for over 17 years, he decided to broaden his work experience in the financial planning industry. Bill is also a Certified Financial Planner® practitioner with a specialty in retirement and estate planning. With his background as a funeral director and financial planner, he is uniquely qualified when it comes to helping survivors after a family member dies. Will Griffith Director's Assistant
William J. Griffith is the fourth generation of family to work in the funeral business, operating in the same location that the family has owned since his childhood. After studying engineering at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Will moved back to Pittsburgh to work as a Director’s Assistant to his father and current supervisor, William E. Griffith, Jr. He appreciates working with his parents to help the families of those in need in a more people-oriented service industry. In his spare time, Will takes pleasure in reading, hiking and spending time outdoors. He enjoys meeting members of the community and hopes to carry on a legacy of family-oriented service in the funeral business.

Pam Griffith Office Manager
Pamela Griffith started helping out at the funeral home with her husband Bill when it was owned by Bill Griffith, Sr. After working as a managing supervisor in both insurance and retail for over 30 years, Pam assumed the role of Office Manager at the funeral home in the spring of 2013. Having grown up in the area, she enjoys reconnecting with neighbors and friends and has a knack for providing comfort to those going through a very difficult time. When she’s not in the office she can be found making house calls, keeping up with families we’ve served over the years.
