Lilas M. Soukup Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Monday, January 31, 2022, Lilas M. (Sewchok) Soukup, age 86, of Finleyville, formerly of South Park, passed away with her family by her side. Beloved daughter of the late Mike and Lilas Sewchok; loving wife of Donald L. Soukup; treasured mother of Lilas Soukup, Donna (Bruce) Carman and Michele Soukup; grandmother of Sean (Alexis) Carman and Phillip Carman; sister of Nancy (late Pete) Kolich and Michalene (Ronald) Lehman; also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Lilas was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a good friend to many, always willing to help others, and many people had the opportunity to enjoy her cooking skills. In her younger days, she was president of the South Park Band Boosters, and participated in Girl Scouts. She loved to crochet, especially baby afghans that she made for everyone. Friends received Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, (at 6th St.) South Park Twp. (412) 655-4600. Parastas prayers will be held on Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where a funeral service will be held on Friday at 10 a.m. followed by interment in Monongahela Cemetery.
