Frances J. Tomsic Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

On Thursday, January 22, 2015, Frances J. Tomsic, age 95, of West Mifflin, formerly of South Park, passed away peacefully after a brief illness. She was born on March 5, 1919 in Herminie, PA. Daughter of the late Andrew and Frances (Suhadolnik) Spik; beloved wife of 50 years to the late Edward J. Tomsic; loving mother of Janice (Stu) Nosky of Huntsville, AL, Peggy (Bill) Janosik of Bethel Park and Diane (Doug) Markosky of West Newton; grandmother of Bill Janosik of Concord, CA, Michael (Sarah) Janosik of Pittsburgh, Tecla (Allen) Druffel of Colton, WA, Cain (Sarah Tarr) of Charleston, SC; sister of the late Max and Joe Spik, and Mary Ocvirk, Paula Progar, and Margie Kaus. Special thanks to Diana Hess, her caregiver and family friend, Jenna Graham, her hospice nurse, and to the staff of Arden Courts in Jefferson Hills. Friends received Sunday 4-8 pm at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, Broughton-Curry-South Park Twp. Funeral prayer Monday 10:45 am with a Mass of Christian Burial in Nativity Church at 11:30 am.
