On Sunday, January 26, 2025, Deanna J. (Genovese) Henry, age 84, of Pleasant Hills, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family. Beloved wife of 51 years to the late Joseph Henry; loving mother of Joseph (Andrea) Henry, James (Edie) Henry, Deneen (Anthony) Benevento, and the late Johnny Henry; grandmother of Alicia (Jesse) Thompson, Jacqueline (Erik) Stiley, Joseph (Erica) Henry IV, Ashley Henry, James (Ali) Henry, Anthony Benevento, Jordan Henry and Jason Benevento; great-grandmother of Tessa, Wyatt, Sienna, Lucas, Payton and Joey V. Known for her boundless energy and vibrant spirit, Deanna's life was a testament to her love of family, nature, and simple joys. More than anything, Deanna cherished the time that she spent with her family. Whether hosting gatherings or sharing quiet moments, her warmth and devotion left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. An active and health-conscious individual, Deanna found joy in exercise and remained dedicated to staying active until her final days. Her radiant smile could often be found in her garden, where she lovingly tended to her flowers, finding solace and inspiration under the sun's golden rays. Deanna also had a deep love for the ocean. Some of her happiest memories were of time spent vacationing at the beach, listening to the waves and soaking in the beauty of the shore. Her kindness, resilience, and joyful outlook on life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Deanna's legacy lives on in the hearts of her family, who will forever remember her as their guiding light. Friends received Wednesday, January 29 from 6-8 p.m. and Thursday, January 30 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the GRIFFITH FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5636 Brownsville Road, (at 6th St.) South Park Twp. Funeral prayer Friday, January 31 at 11:15 a.m. at the funeral home, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Triumph of the Holy Cross Parish - St. Elizabeth Church at 12 p.m. Everyone is invited to wear something red, Deanna's favorite color.
